Why you need a system
Running two or three accounts on your own sounds simple until you are doing it every day. You film, edit, export, post on one account, then try to remember what you already posted on the others.
A small system saves a lot of time. The one below is built around a single weekly session and numbered copies. It assumes you are posting your own videos.
Give each account a number
Start by numbering your accounts. Your main account is 1, the next is 2, and so on. Write it down somewhere you will see it.
From now on, account 1 always gets copy 1 of a video, account 2 gets copy 2. That one rule means you never have to wonder which file went where.
Batch once a week
Pick one time each week to prepare everything. Many creators like Sunday evening or Monday morning.
In that session:
- Gather the videos you finished this week. Use your full-quality exports, without any watermark.
- Make one copy per account for each video.
- Write or pick captions for each account.
- Plan which day each video goes out.
Then posting during the week is quick. Open the right copy for the right account and post it.
Why each account gets its own copy
Posting the identical file on every account means every account is posting the same video. Instagram, for example, said in April 2024 that when it finds identical content, it recommends only the original. Identical uploads compete with each other.
Giving each account its own version helps each copy read as its own upload. No tool can promise how a platform will rank a post, but separate versions are a cleaner start than one file posted everywhere.
Keep track without a spreadsheet
With numbered copies, your tracking is built in. Copy 3 of a clip went to account 3. If numbering continues from one week to the next, you can even look back and see how far you have gone with a clip.
If you want to note which videos did well on which account, a simple notes app is enough. The numbers do most of the work.
Over a few weeks you will also start to see patterns. Maybe one account does better with shorter clips, or another does better at night. Small notes like that are worth more than any tool, because they come from your own audience.
Photos fit the same system. If you post carousels or stills, number those copies the same way so every account still gets its own version.
Doing it with Fresh Copies
Fresh Copies runs in the cloud, so your weekly batch doesn't tie up your computer. Upload your clips, pick how many copies, and download them when they are ready.
In Auto, every copy is reframed off-center and gets its own combination of small edits, such as a slight zoom, mirroring, a color or brightness change, or film grain, plus a small pitch shift on the audio. Copies keep the original resolution, frame rate and sharpness, and we don't cut the start of the clip.
Copies are numbered, and numbering continues across batches. Posting sets group your copies by number, so the set for number 2 has everything for account 2. A caption pool can put different caption lines on your copies. Photos work too.
Keep it light
The biggest risk for a solo creator is burning out. A system only works if you keep doing it.
Keep your weekly session short. If a week is busy, post fewer videos rather than skipping the routine. And if one account is not working for you, it is fine to drop it and put that time into the others.
Spend most of your energy on making good videos. The copying and posting should be the easy part.
Picking a plan that fits
Solo creators don't need much. A small plan or a credit pack is usually enough.
For example, three accounts and five videos a week is 15 copies a week, around 60 to 65 a month. The Starter plan is $19 a month for 1,000 copies, and Creator is $39 a month for 2,500 copies. If you post less often, a credit pack of 500 copies costs $15, with no subscription.
Free trial: 20 copies. No card. Files are deleted 14 days after upload, so download your copies during your weekly session. The free copy checker lets you compare copies on your own device.
Common questions
How many accounts should I run on my own?
As many as you can keep up with well. A few accounts with a steady routine usually beat many accounts that get neglected.
Do I need to post at the same time on every account?
No. It is often better to space posts out and pick times that suit each account's audience.
What if I only post a couple of times a week?
A credit pack may suit you better than a plan, since you only pay for the copies you make.
Will this system grow my accounts?
It saves you time and keeps you organized. Growth still depends on your videos and your audience, and no tool can promise how a platform will rank a post.
